Local is best

Local is best

Sometimes a Friday night calls for staying local. The weather turned cold, the 7 train wasn't running after 10:00 pm and frankly, Sunnyside has some really hidden gems within a few blocks of the subway. One can either start or end their night at Maggie Mae's. After a few of the incredibly delicious cocktails, you will be craving a bag...or two of the fresh popped popcorn. Or, order in and keep drinking! If, like me, you end up with one too many Bourbon Rosemary Sours, then head down the block to Soleluna for a filling dish of homemade pasta. Trust me.

A night that ends with a filling bowl of pasta is a good night to me. Soleluna never disappoints with their menu of classics and an ever rotating list of specials. I have never had a bad meal there and find prices reasonable. If you find yourself around the Sunnyside 'hood on a cool Fall evening, stop by.
